Suprise!

Hehehe. Today is my last day at work before I have a week off, and as the boss left for his overseas holiday early this morning I don't feel much like working! Not that I have a heck of a lot to do anyway. So here I am FINALLY updating this thing, although I'm not sure anyone checks it anymore, so if that's the case then I am just rambling to myself.....

I don't really have anything planned for my week off; might do a major house clean, clean my car, and thats about it at this stage - nice and relaxing.

Saturday we have been invited to 69 to watch the rugby and all the stuff that goes with it. However, as I don't have one ounce of interest in rugby (I don't know who's playing) I'm not sure what I'll do for the however many hours a rugby game drags on for :p. Yes, Toni, I'll remember to take some photos.

We have disconnected (well tried to anyway) our home phone, which means no more internet at home. It's going to be a slight inconvenience but seeing as we only had dial-up it was too frustratingly slow when you're used to using broadband at work, so we hardly use it. So now we just have our cellphones, which works out cheaper having two mobiles than a single landline.

My dad has been staying with us for the past couple of months. He's building a goat milking and feeding system at his bosses farm at Gordonton.

This year has been a bad year for my cats. In February our little Squeak went missing and we haven't seen or heard from her since. A couple of months ago my families cat Coco died. We'd had him for about 15 years, so that was pretty sad. It was even worse because we suspect he was killed by a dog or something - poor little guy.

Last week I recieved a speed camera fine, and my initial thought was that it must have been Quentin because I don't speed. Upon further investigation, the alleged time of offence was 1.45pm on a Tuesday which is kind of weird as I was at work. I was caught on SH1 Waiwera South. I didn't know where the heck that was so I looked on a map - it's in Otago. So needless to say I'm pretty confident that it wasn't me, so I've written a smart-ass letter to the police.

Well thats all folks.

Yes, I know...

....it's been such a long time since I updated, but I have been very busy. Since a lot of time has passed since my last entry, I'm not even going to try and remember everything that has happened since, so I'll start with February.

But infact before I do this I will tell the story of incident with the hot oil. One monday night during my holiday I was cooking dinner. I was putting the mince in the frying pan, but I actually dropped it and the little oil that I had used splashed all along my wrist and hand. It really, really hurt. I felt that this was quite serious, as I burn myself all the time but have never experienced pain like this before. So I put my arm under cold running water for about 12mins. I took it out from the water and it just kept on burning, and by this stage I was bawling my eyes out, so Q went down to the chemist to buy something to put on it. The stuff he bought was great and it stopped hurting. The next day it was fine, didn't really hurt much at all, but over the next few days it consistently got worse. On friday my nana came over to look at it as both she and my mum were concerned. By that stage it was starting to blister and looked kinda nasty, so she encouraged me to go to the doctor. So later that day I went to the doctor, and she said that it wasn't infected but it was quite nasty, so she dressed it and I had to go back every day to get it re-dressed, then on sunday they put a bandage thing on it that I had to leave on for at least seven days. Well it healed fine but I still have quite an obvious scar - but what's one more!

February is the best month of the year. This is because I was born in February (the 27th to be specific). That's right ladies and gentlemen, it is my birthday in two weeks - yay! Last friday night, we went to Barzurk for Sarah and Liam's farewell. Whats the deal with everyone leaving?! Q and I went to the dinner with Kirsty and Hayley, and Hayley informed us that she is going to Australia too! I really hate Australia.
